Islamic Studies Lesson Pack for Muslim Children | Qur’an, Honey, Bee Life Cycle, Worksheets & Hands-On Activities
 
Help children discover one of the amazing signs of Allah’s creation through this engaging, ready-to-teach Islamic lesson pack based on Surah An-Naḥl (16:68–69). Children will learn how Allah inspired and guided the bees, how honey is made, and why honey is described in the Qur’an as containing healing for people.

Optional hands-on extension activity
To make the lesson even more memorable, we also enjoyed watching a few short educational videos from the SciShow Kids YouTube channel (we skipped the music introduction). The videos helped children understand more about bees collecting nectar and making honey.
 
Afterwards, we held a simple honey tasting activity where the children sampled:
Golden Honey
Black Seed Honey
Cacao Honey
 
The children dipped slices of apple and banana into each honey, compared the different flavours, colours and textures, and discussed which one they liked best while reflecting on Allah’s blessing of honey.
 
This optional activity provides a wonderful sensory learning experience and helps children connect the Qur’anic verses with something they can see, taste and remember.
