It’s spring season and the cherry blossom trees have arrived, alhamdulillah. After taking the children outside and spotting all of Allah’s beautiful signs of spring, subhanAllah, I decided to make something fun for them—and of course, we wanted to share it with you too.
In this download, you will find:
A spring scavenger hunt outside activity, scavenger hunt cards to hide around the home or classroom (in case you are not able to leave the home or would like to use it in a classroom), a blossom tree activity with some familiar friends on it, and a painting activity and a free hand drawing activity.
I recommend taking the children outside to the park or forest to do the scavenger hunt—or hiding the cards around the home or classroom—one day, then going blossom tree hunting another day along with the blossom tree craft. There is also an indoor painting activity—unless you’d like to let them paint in the garden. I personally love to split activities up so there’s something to enjoy across different days.
For the scavenger hunt you will need, a clipboard and pen—or even just a pen—will do. For the blossom tree craft, you will need some white and pink tissue paper. For the painting activity, you will just need the worksheet and a choice of colours for them to explore. If your child is not into painting, they may prefer some freehand drawing instead.
