This resource is based upon the words of Shaykh Ṣāliḥ al-Fawzān, may Allah preserve him, and authentic articles from Abu Khadeejah and Troid, so the children are learning from clear proofs and trusted sources, alḥamdulillāh.
This gentle yet firm learning resource introduces children to who the Salaf are, why they are important in Islam, and how we follow their example—especially in the blessed month of Ramadan.
Children are guided to understand that the Salaf were the best generations of Muslims, those who followed the Qur’an and Sunnah exactly as the Prophet ﷺ taught, without adding to or changing the religion. The resource explains this in a clear, child-friendly way, rooted in authentic Salafi sources.
The worksheets encourage children not only to learn information, but to think, reflect, and apply what they learn. Through written responses, discussion prompts, and reflection activities, children are encouraged to ask:
Who are the Salaf?
Who is upon true guidance in Islam?
How should I behave in Ramadan if I want to follow their example?
A special focus is placed on Ramadan, helping children understand how the Salaf valued this month—by worship, good character, staying away from sin, giving charity, and holding tightly to the Qur’an.
This resource is ideal for homeschooling families, Islamic studies classes, Ramadan lessons, and revision work, and can be used independently or alongside discussion with a parent or teacher.
